Seattle Sculptor Kevin Pettelle used Additive Workshop's enlargement services for his clay model entitled "Late for the Interurban"
Because the end product is only as accurate as the data collected, the model is scanned using our high resolution white light scan system with global accuracy. At the moment white light technology is considered the best, capturing fingerprint quality details.
Scan data during the processing stage. We use a variety of cutting edge software programs that retain the highest resolution possible while rendering and manipulating scan data.
Once the desired dimension of the enlargement is decided, the digital data is sectioned and mapped out for milling on either a flatbed CNC machine or the 7 axis robotic arm. This data was milled on the flatbed CNC.
